Went and bought some stuff, need some help please.

Me and my wife went and picked up the front and rear speakers for her car today. For the front we picked up the Focal 165A1 set and for the rear we picked up the Focal 690CA1. This being said I am trying to find an amp to fit between the rear speakers under the rear deck in the trunk. Can someone please measure the distance between the two 6x9's protruding out under the rear deck. I need to know how much room there is for an amp. We found an amp made by Helix that is very thin and only has heatsinks on the side so mounting upside down will work. Thanks for your help!

The max. size you can fit between the 6x9 openings is about 15x8.5 (maybe 8.75) inches. This without overlapping the speaker openings. The actual Bose amp mounting bolts form a 7x6.5 rectangle. I'd try to fabricate a bracket and use the Bose bolts to mount the amp. That'll be a very clean installation and probably the best way (if the size of the amp allows it). Wish mine would be like that too.
What you have to keep in mind though that in order to use the 15x8.5 area in full, you'll have to relocate the trunk light because that's in the way. Shouldn't be a big deal, but you'll probably have to take out the trim piece above, between the rear speakers. This might be a good thing anyway to get better access when mounting the amp.
Right next to the trunk light, there is also another bolt protruding into the trunk that I'm not sure what it is for. You'll see it's purpose once you remove the upper trim piece.

Thanks, you seem to have all my answers, it may be easier to PM you any questions I have...hehe. We are going to pick up the car tomorrow and I plan to start the mods immediately. Next we are looking for some chrome mesh inserts to replace the black plastic vents on the front fenders! Thanks again!!

Hope you're joking - it's not a big deal to go out to the garage and use a tape measure.
There are a bunch of people here who know a lot (and I don't mean myself), so keep posting your questions - usually you'll get the answer from someone sooner or later.
