Exclamation Want to upgrade audio but only speakers

Ok so this is my setup
stock not bose HU
All stock speakers
My HU settings
ALC-Level 1
Bass 1
MID 2
Treb 3
Fade R2
Bal 0
What I want is to upgrade my speakers so I can turn these settings up to max and turn the radio past 20 or so if I need to. My problem is my DS tweeter in the door is rattling at certain base points and I get the speaker blowing pop from my PS door. I want speakers if possible that plug in to the factory harnesses and ones that I don't have to alter the doors or speaker baskets for. Also want to keep the stock HU. Also where is the AMP that comes with the car located? So that way I can maybe give my base some punch with a well concealed 10" sub somewhere. I listen to Rap and hiphop so this is the reason I need something with some more thump but Im not looking to rattle my car because that is stupid.

If you have the regular audio system the amplifier is internal to the head unit. You are going to need new speakers at the minimum. I would also suggest a good amplifier to power those speakers, you will get better and cleaner sound that way. For signal to the amplifier, you are going to need a Line Output Converter. Since it is the base system I don't see the need for the expensive ones like the Audio Control units, just a simple 4ch LOC to cut the signal down to line level for the amp.

Speaker size for the front is 6x8 and rear is 6x9. Most standard aftermarket speakers will fit in those sizes. If you don't want to cut up any stock wiring, you can get harnesses from Metra for the HU and speakers.

Search for threads started by me (only a few of them), to see how to wire the LOC and what I did for speakers in my base audio upgrade. I've also posted some pics of what I did for a subwoofer in the trunk recess area. It isn't hidden, but it saves the most amount of space IMHO and keeps the trunk very useable.

Say no to separate line out converters, most amps have a speaker level in.
Alpine amps have speaker level in AND line out....

My stock head goes to the speaker in of the amp, the line out from the amp goes to the sub amp.

I think I have about 1.6 KW total Peak power. (the headlights dim, even with a large capacitor)
