Trunk Audio

I have an 04 RX8 MT and am looking at installing a system in the trunk I have a tire rack in the trunk but no spare tire Is this rack also the sway bar or some kind of body brace or is it useless becuase it takes up some valuable trunk space.

From what I understand, it's worthless as a strut bar since it has all the bends in it..
as well as being hollow (I think)
I have seen a few posts where people have the spare bar, but no tire itself... (strange)
I am also installing a system, so I removed my spare.
I am putting in a real strut bar instead. They are straight and do not take up much space..
unlike the spare bar.

You can do a search for my trunk install. You can't see it, but I have a fully functional AutoEXE rear strut brace in there as well. So, they don't take up so much trunk space as to be a hindrance to a good stereo install
