Neon lighting HELP!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
hey guys i need some help.....ive searched this forum and i coudnt find what exactly i was looking for but here goes.
ok im tryin to install red neon lights, the thing is, i want it to turn on/off when i turn my headlights on/off....well i was able to get through the switch for the headlights (where theres like a wheel to adjust the front dash lighting to blue and white thingy)......but i dont kno which one would be the positive wire and the negative wire for the neon lights .....
so basically what color do i use for the +/- wires.....do i have to route the negative wire into a separate bolt??? and which is the positive wire??
thanks for any info guys!!!!

I went to the fuse block in the engine compartment and used the driver's side headlight fuse and the ground went to the side wall ground point on the driver's side in the engine compartment. This was for a rotor accent lite.
In the rear I connected to the license plate connector behind the rear panel (above the jack, slightly to the passenger side. I used this for a rear neon lite in the rotor accent. It was pretty simple compared to messing with the switches.

If it's linked to your headlights, isn't this just BEGGING to get a ticket?
Here in Cali if you have red lights on your vehicle, you can't make it 2 miles without getting pulled over

Hmm....well here in Ohio, I was showing off my car, and a cop stopped up and was drooling all over (it was really funny) And I happened to ask him about driving with the lights on, and he said "as long as they don't flash blue and red" But I'm allowed to let my lights slowly transition, even if the transition may be blue to red...because the transition is so slow. However, underbody lighting may be prohibited in a particular city...but our state law allows it...so watch out.
