Ok, let me start by saying, I am not an audiophile.
This is what I want to do:
LC6i spliced into Bose Headunit wires at trunk. (Have an LC6i already)/
4 Channel Amp (Infinty 475a), driving a set of component speakers in the front. (I have a set of Infinity 6030c).
Now, here's my question:
If I use the existing Bose amp to power my Infinty 6 x 9's in the the rear, that will free up a channel on the infinity amp to power a sub in the trunk (to compensate for the loss of low end after I take out the front BOSE speakers).
Are there any major issues with having the rear speakers powered by the BOSE amp, and the fronts powered by an aftermarket?
My line of thinking is that the rear speakers are really just for 'fill' anyway...
What are peoples thoughts on this.
Cheers
Dean
P.S. This is 'not' a 'money is no object' project, hence why I am using Infinity Reference gear. I'm trying to work with what I have, and get the best possible arrangement with that, so please don't suggest I rip everything out and install POLK all round. :-)
