There is just no tasteful way to mount gauges :(

The molded Lotek pod is good, its certainly getting there.
The gripes I have about that particular way of going at it.... :
When polished up to that nice Piano Black look, you will get blinded on the road - eventually. I've experienced it.(Harry had the first custom PTP pod remember) That totally rules out that one(as far as finish) right there as a safety thing.
For the black one you dumped what about $300+ to have it molded/painted... how long before your paint is bubbling/peeling/chipping/fading .... Ask me if i've seen that too... and then think about how long the car has been around and the timeframes in which these things were seen...
