to answer my own question =) i messed around with the wireing and found that when i tapped into the wires AFTER the bose amp.. the turn on thump went away...its getting late for me to switch the wires back to tapping it BEFORE the bose amp to see if i still get that loud thump. Anyone with a sub and tapped BEFORE the bose amp and get no turn on thump?

where is your ignition activation wire tapped?

most people solved the problem by tapping the center console outlet

What kind of amp are you using? Its normal for amps to thump when they are first turned on. Higher quality amps will advertise a quiet turn-on feature.
