Window Fog?

I've searched the forums, with no luck, so maybe someone can help with this: Since the colder weather has struck here on Long Island, I can't leave my car for even 30 minutes without the windows fogging up on the inside. I've been using the defrost setting to clear them, and then it's fine until the car sits parked for a bit. There's nothing in the car generating moisture, I don't leave ANYTHING in my car (so it stays neat... yeah, I'm a geek) so I can't figure this one out. I don't have any greasy vinyl or leather "protectant" gunk on anything either. I've had other cars do this when using the Recirc function for climate control, but mine is always on Fresh. Any ideas?

A/C is always running in our 8's when you turn on the windshield defrost. The light won't come on but the A/C is. It is standard as a safety feature. It is in the manual.

It has been really humid lately in long island. I think it will go away when the weather calms down a bit.

Maybe. I hope so, the worst part is when it's cold and I have a thin layer of ICE in there. Pretty stupid, right?

Have you tried the RainX anti-fog products? I just put on a coating and it seems to help. When conditions are really bad, it won't help at all, but it seems to help on the day-to-day fog.

Be sure to clean you windows well. Just little film of dirt will cause a problem. The water condenses around small dust particles. (same way clouds form). Clean windows will fog much less. RainX anti fog is nice also.

Plus once the temp drops below 36, the AC no longer runs, so you might not be drying out the air even with the car set to defrost.
