Question Subwoofer Enclosure That Fits

Is there a sub-woofer enclosure that would fit in the trunk of my 04 Rx8 with my rear sway bar still in place? I can't seem to find one. I'm starting to believe all I can do is get one custom made.

Did you check the for sale forum? I see them all the time and I am pretty sure I saw one very recently. Search is your friend.

So what are you looking for then? Why not just get rid of the rear strut bar, it's pretty much useless anyway.

and then get this:

Or get a bass tube.

I have a "Magic Box" and it fits perfectly, and a Beatrush strut bar. http://www.wickedcas.com/product.php...&cat=20&page=1

It's a good bling item, but there is not really a performance gain. The structural rigidity of the 8 from the factory is awesome.

I vote for the 4080 box. Here's my dual 4080 box setup: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/jedis-bose-stereo-upgrade-103771/

Dayum! Not only is that box going to be heavy, but adding two 12" subs? You must want some serious bass pounding.

Well, I guess it depends on the 12" subs. On average you are looking at 30-35lbs for 2, plus the weight of the box and amp(s). I've been there too...it really makes a huge difference. Even in your MPG and regular acceleration. However if massive pounding bass is what you want than go for it.

This was my setup...way too heavy so I sold it. http://altspacerx8.blogspot.com/2007...ine-plv-7.html

Except that you can not put the cover on unless you cut out the holder.

i also cleaned up the wiring...that red cord you can see below the amp was pissing me off, had to unbolt everything....and re-wire.

Just does not look right to me is all. It would seem more complete if a cover was in place, maybe with a cutout and some lexan if you want to see the amp. Without one it takes away the beauty of the interior.

We had a member on here who cut out parts of the cover and put black steel mesh in it's place. Looked pretty good. I'm sure you can find someone to do something similar with lexan or such.

Do you mind posting a pic with the cover in place and as-installed in the back seat area?
