stuck on my sound project
i have a pioneer 1000 watt amp, two 12" pioneer subs and a box that fits. I took it to my friend who does sound as a hobbie. He ran into a few problems, here is the list
-he could not figure out how to remove the head unit, he says it basically built in
-he told me somthing about the car not having ac connections and so it wouldn't be possible to connect the amp unless i bought a cd player and that I was looking to spend another $400 dollars or so.
Anyone have any suggestions, please help

you shouldnt have to touch the headunit. you can tap the rear speakers and run a hi/lo converter. When i had a system, all i did was connect a hi/lo converter. the hi/lo converter gave me rca outputs which inputs to the amp. thats all you really need to do for the amp's sound source.

Maybe it would be a good idea to bring the car to a professional shop who actually know what they are doing...
Removal of the radio is only complicated until you find the 'bastard bolt' - see this thread: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-do-yourself-forum-73/diy-radio-removal-add-aux-input-36001/

see if there are other members from the club that live near you and could help you out, what state are you in?
