Stock tweeter removal

Okay, I've searched and found some threads that mention how to remove the front tweeters for the Bose system, but I can't find any for the stock system. I realized that if I was going to attempt to install some speakers myself, the best way to get a lot of my "how to" questions answered is just to take a look at the stock speakers themselves. And, more importantly, to learn how to get to them.

However, my first experiment in DIY car improvement has stalled. I can't even remove the damn tweeters. How in the heck do you get these things OFF, so I can continue with my front door panel removal? I don't understand the Inner Garish removal instructions here.
I might have already done steps 1-3. I've certainly not managed to do step 4.

Here's a picture I took of my pending un-install. There are question marks I drew in with my not-so-paint-friendly trackball mouse.

Sorry the pic is so large, but I wanted to show detail. Q1 is where I've concentrated most of my efforst at removal. That seems to be a ONE-WAY clip though, and there ain't no going back. Q2 seems to me to not be the correct place for removal. I'd guess this would be how you would disconnect the wires. Q3 is a place I'm afraid to tinker with, because it's hard to reach and if I start yanking there, I'm afraid I won't be able to get the panel back on.

Help!

Are you serious? I've spent a good 30 minutes pulling and squeezing and yanking trying to get the tweeter off. HOW do you just unclip the lead from the tweeter itself?

Edit: The leads from the tweeter itself do not want to unclip. That is the problem.

Dude, abbid you rock. Wow. And lurch appreciate you checking it out too.

I think I was going about this the right way, but it must be stuck or something. I pressed down pretty hard with a flathead screwdriver on the spot where it holds the wires in place, but all I accomplished was scratching the thing up. I mean, it did indent some, but not enough to be able to pull the harness off. I'll maybe take more pics later to show you what I mean, but I've got a cold and I probably should be taking it easy. All i wants to do now is take a nap!

Anyway, I'm starting to think I am just too incompetent to pull off a full speaker install, even if all I need to do is swap out one set of coax's for another. Skipping step #1, I promptly got stuck on step #2, removing the window controls panel. I don't have a good mental image of what I'm supposed to be doing...except that I press something and the panel should magically fall off. At least, that's how it works in my mind. Sadly, my mind and reality have been disconnected for some time now.

Actually, I did manage to get the door opener panel off, so I guess that makes me 1 for 3. haha! Oh well. Abbid, what sort of speakers do you have in there now?

oh, snap. I was prying from the wrong angle altogether on the window up/down panel! I've just barely skimmed the first 25%, but that looks like a great guide. Okay, given that guide then maybe I'll give it another go...
