I have a 04 RX-8 and I want to add sirius. I can get a stock reciever from an 08 Mazda 3 that has sirius. Will this unit fit into my 04? It doesn't look like it to me...but what do I know???

Why not just get the RX8 Sirius module and plug it into your existing head unit? I really don't know if the pin-outs for the 3 are the same as an 8.

I've read in here that if my existing unit does not have the SAT button then installing the sirius module, the one that sits in the trunk won't work.
Right now I've got my Sirius Sportster cradled in the front cup holder. It works, but I can't really see the display while driving and I can not slide the cover over it to close it.
I would much rather have the integrated in dash reciever. I hate the way a sirius reciever looks mounted high on the dash or windshield.
