There is a release button located on the bottom about 1/4 " from the back. If you poke up with a small flathead screwdriver the clip will pop off.

wow what a pain but i got it...took a while but i got the neo (icelink 1.1) installed and i am very happy with it. Does it all: steering wheel control, charges the unit, convienient pause when changing modes or turning off car, and also it seems to pause it when you mute via the steering wheel control; not sure though gonna have to confirm it. Sound quality rocks.

i like that i can still use the ipod without any interuptions and have full control.

one thing i have found is that it seems to only display track numbers 1-3 then go back to 1 again and so forth (this is only the # display it still plays the correct track). Also the time on the display only cycles from 0 -9 then resets(song continues playing as normal)...wierd but the least of my problems cause everything i was interested in works...btw i have 9.55

I recomend upgrading the firmware on the icelink. I have found that my ipod and the icelink loose connection often and you have to shut down the car to get the connection back. The upgraded firmware (vs. 2.06) should take care of it. The newer version also displays the songs on the ipod in a much bigger font, easier to read. I just installed my NEO system last week. Sound quality is great but I almost returned the devise because of the loss of connection (1 out of 3 times used).

Mine dosnt have any firmware...its the 1.1 version(not plus) which dosnt install dension firmware onto the ipod (completly leaves it alone). So mine wont lose the connection cause there is nothing telling it to be diabled.
