Which screws to remove the Head Unit?

I know, I know, I've searched a bit but didn't see anything specific and I'm in the middle of tearing into this right now...

I'm trying to get at my center speaker (it buzzes, I want it disconnected), and I'm stuck at the "slide out the head unit" part, on my way to removing the whole console.

I have the trim around the shifter off, and removed the ashtry... and removed two screws at the bottom which seem to be holding the receiver in. But pulling on the receiver only moves the bottom, the top of the receiver still seems stuck. What am I missing? Are there more than 2 screws holding in the receiver?

This is a Bose, non-Nav...

!%!%@. And I normally don't curse, lol. But I give up for the moment. THAT HIDDEN BOLT... is winner of the Engineering Sadism Award, lol. Short of being a two foot tall contortionist who can bend space... how the hades do you get at it? I bent, I crawled, I angled...

To quote Mazda's own commercial, "What were they thinking?"

haha I don't remember what I used to get at it. Probably just a socket extension and 10mm socket. Maybe a swivel head, but I rarely use them.

I'd just leave it out once your get it. The headunit has a series of pressure clips and two more bolts to hold it in place. It's not going anywhere.

Do it by touch, almost impossible to see and I'm only 5'9 and skinny. Just used a 10mm and a 5 inch extension. Once it's off there's not really a need to put it back as thieves hardly steal oem players. Also becareful not to drop it.
