SAT radio question

so i just bought an 05 rx8 touring+navi yesterday
and i noticed when i push the sat radio button nothing happens, is this because the subscription is up? or is there something wrong with the haed unit?
everything else functions fine

just because you have a sat radio button doesn't mean you have sat radio installed. just like the tape/md button.

if you want sat radio you would need to buy this:

It's definitely not a subscription issue. If you don't have an active subscription, the display will tell you and give you a phone number.

It's like an XM radio. You have that installed, and its not activated, then you wont have it.

But, like I just said... If you have a SAT radio but no subscription, it let's you know that you don't have an active subscription.

Mastodon is saying that nothing happens when he presses the SAT button.
