IE Retrofit Leather Seats - Heated Seat Wiring

Hi

I have a 2006 JDM Rex that came with cloth and ive picked up a set of heated leather seats.

The car isnt prewired, where should i take the feed for the power and what size fuse should i use? 30amp?

I'd love to NOT take it direct from the battery somwhere inside the car would be more convenient. What about the feed to the 12v accessory socket in the centre console?

Thanks

P

I would run it independently on it's own fuse.

I agree w/ 9k. Direct to battery for a clean power source, and use a 15A fuse, 30a is far too high. I wouldn't tap into any accessory circuit.

You might be able to buy the wiring harness for the seats. Running it wouldn't be fun, but it would look factory and you could even use the stock fuse location.

wow. I did this on an 04 and the plugs were there. The seats have independent harnesses that hookup to the seat and the wiring that comes in underneath the seat. You might just be missing the harness that's supposed to come WITH the seats (at least mine did).
