Replacing the OEM door speakers and front tweeters with Infinity components

when replacing the Bose OEM door speakers with components, do u still have to use the Bose amp. I was keeping the original head unit for now, but will be replacing that next. I just have the drivers side door speaker is cutting in and out and its annoying as hell. Or should i just get a new head unit too and do it all at once.

IIRC, you can not use the door Amps on aftermarket speakers, unless you are able to find speakers that use 0.5ohms.

I think the best/easiest solution is to use LOC's right before the rear amp, and run that to a amp that works for your speakers.

The 9" Bose door speakers are pretty good if you keep the door skins from vibrating. IMO, the best single audio upgrade one can do to the car is

(No idea why the link doesn't show correctly)
