remote power for amp

Where did you guys run the remote power from to turn your aftermarket amps on? Also, is there a line output converter that also has a remote power on for amps? i could have sworn i saw this awhile ago where LOC also has a remote power on. Thanks for the help!

I wired my remote amp wire to the radio fuse.

depends on the gauge you want to use for running power

I ran 4 gauge in tandem to have a clean direct Power and Ground closed loop to battery...

no good way to do it but drill right through the firewall behind the windowwasher fluid container

I have some pics if you want

it will be much easier to run 6/8 gauge but I thought I'll go all out since I may do a serious sub setup and the video setup is only drawing 9amps MAX at the moment

i was reffering to the usually blue wire that tells the amp to turn on or off, not the actual wire thats supplying the amp with power. but if you have pics of where you ran your 4 gauge thru the firewall.. i'm interested in that too =)

If you want to be thorough, wire a seperate power line from the battery relayed to the radio fuse. Be sure to seperately fuse it also.

As far as running power cable, I'm fairly sure I'm going to have to run underbody conduits for my power/ground - it's a pain to drill holes in the firewall and run 0/1 under trim panels.

I wired my remote wire to the secondary 12v accessory plug that is located in the center console. I can't remember, but I think that the wire is green and you splice into that.
