Rear 6X9 Replacement
I noticed this on another thread. Apparently, the nut locking the rear speakers in place is obscured by the rear deck cover panel. Has anyone had experience removing this panel without damaging it?
Thx in advance.

I saw a thread where a chap was investigating the rear 6x9's and took pics ... with rear seat removal being part of the game.
I think he was planning on Kappa's.
I've recently been converted to Focal, after reading about another forum members ideas ... I'll be doing the measure up pretty soon myself.

Aye, that would be me.
I ripped out the rear seats * decklid to get access to the rear 6x9's. About an hour to get at both. There are 4 machine screws going through each speaker, from the top. A short phillips screwdriver should work fine.
I replaced them with Infinity Reference 6x9's, screwed the in from the bottom of the decklid up to the top. It's the only way they would fit without busting out the sheet-metal nibbler and making the hole a little bigger, which I was not ready to do.
Everything is cool with my setup. Described in this thread:
