Holy smokes, $400 for a thin piece of fiberglass that does not even have the proper clips and has to be glued down... thanks, I'll pass.

Looks pretty good installed, but that quality just doesn't justify the price - not even half of it.

As my experience with FRP outside of GM car bodies and truck "campers" is limited... however, I didn't think it was SO thin. It definitely isn't paper thin... actually I'd say it was about as thick (or a little more) than your average plastic stuff. The lack of mounting clips is a VERY big disappointment. You almost want to say what is the point without a good and secure way of mounting it NOT using glue and/or tape. The finish seems to be an excellent match. Overal grade.... C-/D+

Sorry I couldn't try test mounting it or getting my own first to have known, as I don't have an 8 yet... trust me I wish I had my own 8 here.

it not thin as paper but they could of at least made it thicker
it was good when i got it
but when i had it installed, the dvd unit was heavy and it was kind of bending the fibreglass
i think it more a japanese stuff cause if you buy it from rmagic japan they actually install and customise it to fit the car
overall i think its great but value for money hehe.... not so great
but thanks to japan8 for doing the group buy

Japan8,

Have you seen the gauge thing down the smoker's box in person? I would like our opinion

Cheers Taka

Taka... the 2 gauge pod? Nope. But I do know that RMagic hacks up your stock ashtray in order to make it. So that my turn a few of you off...

8a8y 8... damn. It's funny the almost exact same thought crossed my mind when packing for shipping... "I wonder if there will be much flex when you put in a HU... hmm it seems a bit heavy... but I guess Rmagic tested that out before making these..." No problem on the group buy. I'm sorry that the piece wasn't overal better... I'm prety disappointed...
