No, different wiring harness. Mainly due to the fact that the premiums need a constant power source to retain memory.
But,,.. its not like you have to rewire everything. Just connect the new wire harness to each respective source that you already have wired. i.e. 12v power, ground, sender, etc..

Not to divert from the thread's purpose, but does that mean the EVO series has internal memory?

No, the EVO series does not have peak/warning so no need to have memory to retain your settings.

Whoa! The cleanest domestic gauge pod to date. Looks just like the Mazdaspeed pods, sans the front lip.

For the Halo series, what are the chances that either;

1. Some sort of fix/update be made available where you can program the gauges and then unplug the module.
or
2. Make a new module where the buttons are not so sensitive. Either with actual push buttons or dip switches.

The gauges are GREAT! Don't get me wrong, but the programming module is h o r r i b l e...

1. I can assume slim to none. How exactly would you update the device anyway, no visible jtag or I/O port of sort. Would be a nice feature, but at that rate you might just want to get the Premium Gauges

2. I like having the sensitive touch. Push buttons would be such a PITA especially when you want to quickly change things (example i do white during day, amber at night)

Thanks! pdxhak deserves props for stumbling across it while searching for a decent pod.

Option #2 is more than likely doable...I hope.
It would be nice if Prosport could make a push button module as an option which I'm positive people will appreciate, especially those who want to program and then hide the module behind the gauge pod, like me.

Here are the install pics when we installed the pod in my car. My gauges are 60mm Prosport Premium.

Taking the dash apart. You can see aipex8's through the windshield

Laying down the template

Outlined with a silver sharpie

Used a Dremel to cut the dash

Dash is cutout for the pod. Still needs to be cleaned up a bit

Quick test fit

Installed

1) I have seen a few guys do just that, program then let the module lay (still attached) behind the gauge. With all the features, colors, lighting brightness, peak, warning, etc. you need someway to control it. We do also have the same gauge without all the features (no touch pad) but in our testing 80% wanted to the features and able to set it how they wanted for their vehicle.

2) So like premium series with the halo ring ? Dip switches in the back?-nobody wants to remove the gauge to make a change!

I guess we can make a DIY terminator for the control module for the guys that want to remove their remote right? Right now removing the remote makes the Peak light blink. I assume that one of those pins senses the connection to the remote? Maybe grounding one of those pins will make the gauge "think" its connected. Just throwing that idea out there in case someone wants to take that route.

Double sided tape. It also came with 6 screws to use also, but the tape holds it down so good I decided to stick (ha) with just tape.

This is a great idea as a workaround if someone can confirm that it works and show how to do it...I think an optional (not-so-sensitive push button) program module is the way to go though but I'll take anything I can get at this point.

Can't tell from the pics, but do you guys notice any "uncomfortable" gaps? How about rattles?

I know this thread is a few months old, but I might bite on the Evo series. Haven't seen or heard of anyone who has them yet.
