Not for a while on a premium version.

We will also release our dual intercooler temp gauge at the same time with "In" and "Out" readings on the same gauge.

Both are scheduled for sale in early Oct.

You can daisy chain up to 8 gauges.
You can extend the daisy chain cable without any issue.

thanks for being willing to work with me, but I have checked the sensors against other gauges and it it the actual gauge which it having the problems. Maybe I will just switch over to the premium gauges as those seem to have less problems

I use to have these on my RX8 and had no complaints. Curiouse if these would work in my 2012 5.0? The only issue would be the sandwich plate, could I use one from glowshift?

I have had nothing but problems with my coolant temp sensor setup reading erroneously and alarming. I can't believe they still use those cheap, sh-tty connectors at the sensor rather than a proper weatherpak connector. I just haven't gotten around to fixing it properly by getting rid of them.

Sorry to hear.. but those connectors have been working fine for almost 20 years now and every gauge company uses them in their basic temp gauge.

The only issue I have with my coolant temp is that if the temperature outside is below 35ish degress (F), the gauge starts flashing as if the sender isn't connected. Once the car warms up and eventually the thermostat opens all is well.

All I know is that both the sensor and cable are brand new and the gauge alarms with a high reading when the coolant temp is normal at inopertune times. It is intermittent and the f'ing gauge blasting off while I'm competing is really ticking me off. It's like the boy who calls wolf and the one time I ignore it will likely be when the engine overheats and blows. Not to mention the distraction while I am trying to lay down a fast run.

This would mean that the resistance between the sensor and the gauge is going too high, right?

The sender is basically a thermistor ... the hotter it gets the better the continuity, therefore the lower the resistance.

Stupid question, but did you place the sender on a coupler between the two pieces upper radiator hose? If so, did you ground the coupler?

I have the aluminum coupler in the radiator return hose from the engine, and I meant to bring that up. I specifically asked Prosport if it needed to be grounded because it does have a grounding screw attachment and they told me that it wasn't needed because of the ground wire connection at the gauge. I'm still not sure that this is correct.

I have learned that running a ground wire from the sender to the gauge ground, makes for much more stable and accurate readings. Ground loops can quite easily create phantom currents sufficient to mess up the gauge display value. The +5v powered-sender types are less prone to these issues, but not immune.

Readings that tend to go wonky at high rpm may be seeing noise from the alternator. As the frequency of the noise gets higher, resistances begin looking like impedences which can vary depending on the current paths. Result = more complicated ground loop.

it is not high rpm, it is idle on ... otherwise this is what I thought too, but couldn't really locate a definitive answer any where and asked the manufacturer as mentioned. I will try that and see what happens. Thanks.

Problematic grounds are a killer to any electrical system. Although that sender has it's own ground, it is still wise to ground the coupler. Chances are that you didn't put enough plumbers tape or sealant on the threads, and the sender is actually trying to reference ground from the adapter through the threads.

You need a M22 http://prosportgauges.com/oil-filter-adaptor-plate.aspx

The Performance series is 1 3/4" deep
Premium series is 1.25" deep
EVO is 1.5" deep

That is correct, way to install it. Does this do this all the time? or just randomly the gauge will shootup to high reading and then randomly go back to reading correctly?
How often does this happen? once a day, once a month? every hour?

Great thanks. I’ll bring these gauges up in the Mustang forums since I haven’t seen them mentioned. I had these for over two years and was happy with their performance. Is there a discount for forum members at all?
