Problems with PAC SWI?

I installed a Metra kit w/ a Premier H/U and a PAC SWI-PS about a year ago. Everything worked fine for about 6 months, but around that time my steering wheel controls would intermittently not work. In the past few months, my volume on my deck will randomly keep going up or down, and when in tuner mode radio station will randomly keep switching stations.

Anyone else having similar problems with their steering wheel controls?

Zero issues with my SWI-PS. Been going strong for about 14 months.

sold swips for years. they are hit and miss. unfortunetly. my boss would have attested to their not amazing ability to work alot. my thoughts is call or send PAC an email explain your situation. whenever i called for a customer they were very understanding. usually just had to pay shipping. also before you do try and reset your headunit and unplug swips. also try to disconect the ground or 12v temporarily just for kicks.

goodluck

New SWC for RX8

Metra showed their ASWC at CES. It works with the RX8 and all head units with wired SWC inputs. No programming, just install it and it's ready to go. The response is quicker than PAC's as well - no latency on button pushes.

Hey all! Thanks for the input! I guess I'm gonna tear it all apart and try disconnecting and reconnecting the SWI, maybe reprogramming it too, see if that helps.
