placing sub in back seat
I am looking to place my 12w7 with a H.O. box in the back seat of my rex. I already checked for fitting, and if you place it upside down it fits like a charm. My question is, because I obviously do not want the weight to be balanced/supported on the drive shaft, I was looking for different ideas of non-permanent support. My best idea would be to build to stands on each seat around an inch taller than the drive shaft. I want to do this so that the foam will compress and some of the load will be placed on the drive shaft. I would also probably strap it down somehow.
Just looking for any ideas, thanks.

Have you thought about where you are going to put your massive amp and wiring to drive this sub?
By the way the driveshaft is underneath the car and nothing you put on the backseats is going to load up the driveshaft in any way. The piece you are laying your box on is called the center console.
I personally have a single Alpine 10" with 400w rms running to it and it is plenty of bass for dubstep, rock, house, rap, or whatever.
