PIE Stopped Working - Help
I have had my P.I.E. MAZ/PC-ALP Aux for about 3.5 years now with no issues and been very happy and all of a sudden I am having problems.
With either my Sirius plugged in or my MP3 player, the Aux input will play fine for about 15 seconds and then shut-off the radio. When I turn it back on everything works fine for about another 15 seconds and then shuts off again. Not sure why it is acting up all of a sudden.
Is it going to ground? Anyone else had this issue?

I just had the same issue start up yesterday. Has anyone found any remedy for this? Like jdzoom8, my headunit shuts off after 15-20 seconds of using the aux. Also, it only displays "EX" . . . not EX with the flashing "1" . . .
Any ideas?

Quick update: OK, I called P.I.E. and they told me to just try disconnecting the negative terminal of my battery to reset the stereo. That seems to have done the trick! Such a simple fix. Not sure if the P.I.E. box is just on its way out, though. I'll repost if the problem comes back . . .

BZA - I ended up purchasing a new PIE unit. It seemed that my 16 pin harness that connects the headunit to the PIE unit went bad. I replaced the harness and everything works fine. The resetting of the stereo is an interesting fix...
I called PIE and they said the only time they had that problem was if the 16 pin connector wire harness was loose from the back of the stereo. I checked mine and it was tight before I went ahead and purchased the new unit.
Sucks to buy another one, but at least I have my MP3 player and satellite working again.
If anyone is interested I now have an extra PIE unit box for sale minus the wiring harness (which only costs $14 at PIE outlet.com). I will sell the PIE box for $40...
