P.I.E. aux-in solution: Ground Loop an issue?

Hi all, I've read so many aux-in posts my eyes are blurring. I'm sure it's out there, but can anyone give me a quick answer as to whether or not ground loop has to be addressed when using the P.I.E. solution? I want to hook up an iPod, using the Belkin power adapter with line-out. Aside from that and the 2 P.I.E. pieces, is there anything else I need to make this really work? I know that firmware 9.55 or later is required.

Thanks!

You realize of course that now I am going to have to spend another 2 hours reading "ice-link" posts.... :p

Thanks to the other posters for input!!

edit -- ok, thanks for pointing me to the ice-link; I really like the prospect of being able to use the steering wheel buttons. So I guess the only downside is the additional price and the fact that not too many units in the field yet. I'm leaning heavily towards the ice-link now.
