I have the PIE adapter to get an aux-input into my headunit, but I have two sources of audio (XM Roady2 and Ipod). Both have RCA outputs.

Can I just wire two sets of RCA connectors to the one input? Of course, I'll only be using one audio source at a time.

Yes- just use an RCA Y-adapter... one of the PIE guys on the board is doing that. I'll being doing the same when I finally build my carputer.

i used the RCA Y adapter..worked just fine...why waste the money.

Try using simple RCA 'Y' adapters. If they work it solves the problem at minimum cost and has the additional advantage of not requiring any extra switching.

Sometimes you will find out that your devices don't want to "play nicely" together. Then you have to do something else, but it won't hurt to try the easy way first. I have three separate devices connected to my PIE input, and they work fine as long as only one at a time is powered up... except for the Blaupunkt DVD player. That particular item loads the input WAY down when the player is turned off. I had to put a ground loop isolator in the DVD player's audio output line -- that fixed things.

Because i have so many sources connected in parallel, the line level was a little low. Still usable, but low, so I installed a line driver to make the aux-in volume match that of the radio/CD player. If you only have the two items you mentioned connected, you shouldn't have any problems, and you shouldn't need the line driver.
