Need Help Wiring for sound system

Hello, First i would like to say thanks for looking at my post, and hopefully you can help me with installing my sound system.

Secondly, I was not quite sure where I was supposed to post my need for help, so please forgive me for that.

Okay, so I ordered a pioneer 10" sub, supposed to be RMS 400, and an amplifier (Sound Storm FY2001d class D), which i think is rated about the same for RMS.
My wiring kit is 8guage, which i also think should be sufficient. The box I am making based off a previous post.

So my question is, what else do i need to purchase, and how should I go about installing this. I have a STOCK non-Bose Stereo. Its my understanding that it needs a RCA converter? not quite sure what all i need for this wiring for the stock stereo.

If you could please reply back with what i need to get to complete my materials, and maybe a general how-to install thread link, that would be most appreciated (i'm sure that this has been asked many times, but i'm not very technological when it comes to web forums and searching).

P.S. I have a automatic 2005 RX8
^^ I know, i should have gotten the M-Transmission

Nice job on your sound system. That's kinda what i'm looking to do. But i'm still not sure how i'm going to wire it. I had installed some interior leds in my ac vents and foot well area, and seen where the interior fusebox connects to the battery through the fire wall. So i was going to run the wires under the driverside footguard.

But I dont know how to get into the back of the stock stero to see if i need to get anything else. I saw on a DIY how in theory you were supposed to get it out, but i couldnt find the second skrew under the dash. If you could please tell me or link me to how you found out how to get the stereo out, that would be most appreciated

Thanks for responding, and you did a very nice job with yours, I think i might also do the led setup in the trunk, that is after i figure out what i dont know.

okay, so i'v got the box built, the amp and sub came in, and this is what it looks like. I'm all ready to wire it up, but not quite sure, think you could point me in to what wires to splice and where they are at? (pictures?)

Here's what i'v got (its going into the tire location in the trunk - already fitted, just ATM car in the shop):
