My million dollar idea
Why can't someone program a cell phone with the ablity to control the car door locks and igition system?
I seem to always have my phone they have remote car starts and alarm systems and a phone works on a certain frequency so just allow the phone to transmit on "alarm", "remote car igition system" and for that matter "garage door" frequencys?
I am sure I will be shot down due to technolical issues or see it in place in a couple years and be saying "hey that was my idea!"

Shooting now!
Totally insecure unless using something like Bluetooth.
Garage doors can be opened by pretty cheap scanner/transmitters driving down the alley or street.
Never do online banking (or setting up a hit) using a cell phone either for the same reason(s).

Bluetooth is NOT secure AT ALL...funny thing I just purchased a new bluetooth slider phone and a bluetooth USB to hack into the phone
bluetooth's range also stinks...they say 250 feet...yeah right, more like 30ft
definitely a phone could have the capabilities though, just use the same setup as the transmitter in our key and it can even use the phone's antenna to transmitt

I was always under the impression that Bluetooth has a operating range of 10m, which is roughly 30ft.
