Hey guys I want to get a aftermarket stereo but i don't want to replace my head unit. There are some universal kits out there that Ive seen that would allow me to put a deck under my dash. I just dont know how to go about this project was wondering if anyone else has done this? I will also be adding a 12"sub in the car along with a amp.

Do you have factory navi? If not, there is a kit made that replaces the panel above your center A/C vents and center channel speaker. Allows the mounting of a single-din unit. If you must tread down this path, at least get something made for the RX8 instead of any random universal product Metra spits at you.
