So i am planning on getting the Metra Kit along with the Pioneer AVH4200 HU. My questions is I would like to be able to use my OEM NAV that came with my 04 RX-8 I have been told by some people that with the metra kit this is possible, but others said I wont be able to use my nav at all.

I figured I would be able to use it since the OEM NAV screen, controls, and DVD player is seperate from the oem head unit.

I greatly appreciate any info anybody might have. THANKS

It works just fine. Thats the way mine is setup. OEM NAV and Kenwood Double Din DVD, with the Metra Kit. No Problem.

I'm looking into doing the same set up that you have in mind. I'd be really interested in hearing how it works out for you when you get it done. I'm still setting some cash back for it so it's going to be awhile before I get to install it.
