Metra kit problem.

Hi guys,

I was getting my double DINN stereo installed, and ran into some troubles. Apparently the metra kit doesnt support aussie version cars as the middle modes work, the fan speed and temperature controls arnt working. Currently stuck trying to get the aussie adapter, does anyone know where i can get one, or if it even exist's?

why is it different? could be a bad box i don't see how the wiring on the car can be different ...

Do you have automatic climate control?
Metra does not work with automatic climate control.

But if you really fried your box and can't claim for new one.

Yeah...figured lol

So pisssed off, aussie rx8s have auto climate control so yeah.

Will have to return this current kit and buy the kanatech/corksport version.

If I bought the kanatech HVAC adapter, could I use it with the metra face plate? or would i need to used the full kanatech kit?

I have no idea how to make Metra kit work with climate control.
But why not, I like my friends' JDM 8 with climate control.

argh, i left my metra kit in there. I wont have the aussie version HVAC adapter for atleast another fortnight. I left the climate on like 23degrees and now its like boiling inside the car and i cant turn the fan off lol..

Any ideas on how i could reset it so the fans off or turn the heating off?
