Anyone know where I can find one?
My OEM one is all beat to hell and I think the light up one will be cool
I searched but only found pics. If someone can point me in the right direction that would be cool.

Ahh I see. I want to change the color of the LED on the inside to blue Is it hard to pull off?

 

Hey Dom, careful with the illuminated shift ****.
Early on they had major issues with the wires getting pulled apart and what not about the life of the thing.
Look for a member named Polak. He has a mod for it to make it better.

Changing it to blue is possible i believe.
Keep us posted when you decide to do it.

 

^Thanks for the heads up mang. You know I was thinking about just getting it. But not installing it. I know sounds odd right?, But the OEM one I have right now is all chipped up from the pre-ower ring(s), Yeah a chick had the car lol
I dont know. Its a lot to spend and just let it sit but its so cool. I must have it.

 

Wind Dance is right, but I think they changed the wires and made them a lot better, the are still fragile and you need to be careful.

Also, Polak did do a DIY of sorts(I believe) on changing the color in there. I'll see if I can find it and link and post it back here for ya. Not sure it was an actual DIY, but he explained it with pictures.

 

He did a change on color, how to get the cap off and get to the wires, and how to solder on better wires. haha i have too much time on my hands.

 

I remember it too, and now I will go find that thread. He offered to have people send the **** and he would do it, but he also explained the process.......if I recall.

Anybody thinking about this should read through these threads(They aren't that long).
One actually kind of talks about changing the color or boosting/repairing the wiring if need be.
