Leather covered under warranty?

Leather covered under warranty?
I noticed a scratch in my leather that is on its way to tearing on the drivers seat. Its right under my right leg, so I am sure that the subtle moving of my foot between the gas and break is what is causing it to start to tear. I use leather conditioner regularly, but I think it will tear in the next month. Would this be something covered by the warranty? I am a little irritated at the quality of the leather. My car is barely 8 months old and the leather is already starting to tear...not good...

if you can demonstrate to the dealer that there are no cuts or other signs that it may be caused by other than normal use then it should be covered.

The dealer claims it was a cut, which I completely disagree with. The leather hasnt started to tear, but it looks like it will if gets dry. Is there some leather product I can buy to "fill" the crack so it doesnt tear?

That happened on my dad's Lexus. They took the seat out and had that one sheet of leather replaced. They came out with a flat bed truck, dropped off a loaner, picked our Lexus up, then they washed, waxed and filled it with gas and returned it to us.

I was impressed to say the least.

well this is Mazda service we're talking aboot, not lexus :o

even the coffee they serve at Lexus dealerships are top grade!!

yeh...mazda aint gonna fix it, so I want something aftermarket that will let me repair it...
