Keyless Entry Remote Not Working

Keyless Entry Remote Not Working
My keyless entry remote stopped working yesterday. I went up to the dealer today and he replaced the battery for me and it still didn't work. I tried the reprogramming sequence and that didn't work either! I have no clue what to do next. I have read other posts about having two remotes, but I only got one, as I bought my car used. Help would be greatly appreciated!

yeah i mean you can obviously set the alarm without the remote but its a hassle when getting the door for girls. go to driver sidee, unlock driver side, open door, unlock passenger side, walk back to passenger side, open door, close door, back to driver side, open door, get in. phew...what a workout.

I had the remote signal checked with a machine at the dealer and its good to go. Im beginnIng to think that something is wrong on the other end. Although, im unsure where the sensor is. The radio, maybe?

Just spit balling here but maybe somehow the frequency/signal was changed when the battery died the first time? So it could be giving out a strong signal, just not the right one?

Okay people, this is an old issue and a new thread isn't necessary as it had been discussed. The search option is your friend. Here's the DIY to Code Your Own Key. Buy the same switch blade key pictured below, follow the instructions to code the new key FOB according to the link provided; this should be the last post for this thread.

Grace Excel,
This is my first time on this site. I searched for over an hour prior toposting this and saw similar posts but with no answer. The answer u gave me doesnt do me any good if I have to buy a new one anyways. That is what I was trying to avoid. I appreciate the response to this thread, but next time the nasty tone can be left out. After all, we are all proud rx8 owners trying to help one another out!!
