Key Fob Compatibility - Part Number GP7A 67 5D0 H
I just purchased a new 2006 switchblade key fob from ebay for 15.00 bucks. The part number is GP7A 67 5D0 H.
My question is the remote will work on my 2004 rx-8 correct? The remote itself doesn't care what it's transmitting too, right?
I tried finding a compatibility guide but no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated!

either gonna pick it up from mazdaparts for 48 bucks or try and get it off someone here/ebay.
Even if i buy the key from mazdaparts, im still ahead of the game by quite a bit.

Both the remote and the key works. I used my master key (black) and my valet key to program my switchblade key.
I then programmed the master remote (the one I got with the car) and the switchblade remote.
Worked perfectly the first time.
I also got it cut at lowes, where they use a cartridge system. The key is like OEM.

I'm kinda relieved to hear that. As I said I have that remote and a blank key. But I still need the top piece that holds the key. Ohh, by the way did you use the D.I.Y. instructions on here. Thanks soo much for the info.
