Keep getting a cd error

Keep getting a cd error
My 2004 rx8 radio keeps saying check cd. I have cleaned the radio wit a cd laser cleaner and is still saying this error even when the cd is alomost brand new and not a burned or mp3 disc. Is the changer out ? Also i seen on ebay an adapter that suppose to plug on the back of the radio to make it usb capable for a plug, sd card or memory stick,does anyone have one of this?

have you ever disasembled the head unit to try and set anything up?

It's on it's way out. Yes. I'm serious. Time to hit up eBay, the junkyard... or do yourself a favor and go aftermarket.
