I just got a 2005 RX-8 and it has a two-tone leather interior that is black with like a pearl white color insert..... Is this a factory color or an aftermarket thing? The exterior is black.

 

I don't know but I bet it looks great with the BB.

 

Oh it looks great....I was just hunting for information on the care of inserts since its like a pearl color. I have only had it a few days and I love this car!!!!!

the only 2-tone factory offerings were black red & black chapparel. but, chapparel is more of a beige than pearl white.

sounds like it must be a custom, aftermarket thing... but, only pix can help confirm.

 

is your 8 a shinka? shinkas have beige/white interior panels. are your seats a similar color as well?

 

i thought mazda offered a tan(beige) option on some of the cars

 

in 05 the shinkas were the only ones with the tan interior. 06 offered the shinka package which the tan leather/suede and is what i have. i think 07 offered the tan leather interior

I am thinking that it has to be aftermarket cause it is really a pearl white not the tan/beige color i have seen in the shinka..... I will try to get some pics up.... I does look really good though....

 

I own an 05 with tan/black interior. It's no Shinka.

 

I think he meant that '05 Shinkas have parchment (all tan) colored seats.

 

Damn it.... I'm never gonna get to use that smilie....
