Installing Pioneer Audio System

Hey! this is my first post here (big newb) i have been a long time viewer and never had a thread worth posting until now

Anyways i have a 05 rx8 and before i got my 8 i had already purchased a Pioneer DVD deck (AVH-P5700) and a Vehicle Dynamics Processor kit (AVG-VDP1) when first purchasing my car i never thought i would have run into as many problems as i did with the 8 i never expected installing a deck would be so hard and complicated as it is. So i took the ulternate route and bought the OEM Top Dash Kit from Speedline International off ebay with this i also purchased the Z-Enclosure box for 2-10" subs

Question #1 Install - Where should i go to get this all installed ... the local audio/video shop or what? i live in a fairly small town and dont no if i trust all the installers here and that they no what there doing under the hood, (also does anyone have a clue how much installation would be)

Question #2 Dynamics Processor kit - Would the kit work with the 8 and be fully functional

Question #3 Subs and Amp - What Subs do you guys perfer and what type of amps i dont have to much backround in this sort of thing i dont no which is better for example 2 channel? amps or 4 channel? or w.e (note that i will have 2 - 10")

- will post pictures as soon as its installed thank you all

go with a mono amp and place your subs in parallel.

If you dont feel comfortable with doing the install yourself... try your local shops. I could only guess and say installation would be ~$200 at most. Figured $100 for basically a custom headunit install (no harnesses to use at all). $200 wouldn't be a total rip off.....a little high, but ok....even $201 would start to get over-priced.

And a single channel amp usually works best for subwoofers. Look at some major brand names, because you get what you pay for. (ie. dont shop at WalMart or the flea market) Post back up with your decisions BEFORE you buy equipment so we can insure they are a good match for each other. If you ignore this, you may by an amp that's not stable at the load the subwoofers you buy will present. If buying online expect atleast ~$400 for two tens and an amp.

a really good combo suggestion for the amps and subs is
Alpine Type R 10" subs - SWR-1042D (dual 4 ohm) *not SWR-1022D* - They are 500 Watts RMS Each - you will wire them to show the amp a 4 ohm load

Alpine PDX 1.1000 Amp - 1000 Watts RMS mono amp that makes almost NO heat - i have 2 inches of airspace above mine and it doesn't even really get hot.

you can find the subs for 200 for the pair on ebay and the amp about 400 -

PM me if you want some more details.
