Ideas for navigation screen

The idea I have or want to do is a video switcher with hdmi ports for macbook pro and ps3. Maybe even update the screen, but want to be able to keep some form of navigation. Anyone have ideas for this. With the research I have done I have only seen switchers with composite cable connectors. Is there even such a thing? Maybe even install a screen with hdmi compatiblilty.

Plenty of HDMI switches out there. Pretty cheap too. Amazon. Monoprice. All well under $20.

The stock screen is NTSC. You'd need a converter as well as a switcher and the result would still only be low-res NTSC.

it's actually not even NTSC. it's CGA. hdmi is pretty pointless. the best you could do is vga to cga, which can be had for 40 bucks or so, anything more is overkill, if there is even a product for it. other alternative is to get a straight through converter to rgbs and then change the video output from your computer to the proper vertical/horizontal interlaced sync settings via software. i like hw solutions better tho.

i'm putting a bit together to phase out my composite av switcher.
