Lol, a friend of mine wanted to see my setup, so I ran outside in the pouring rain + 60mph winds to take these pictures...don't ask. The "orbs" you see is the specks of water on the lens.

Talking

Here is mine. I'm still thinking about adding some plexiglass over the hole but my amp gets really hot.

It's pretty easy to do. If anyone wants the directions I'll put them up here.

I am getting ready to redo it though, I want to go with a ported box to get the extra sound output. Its going to require a fiberglassed box though since it needs to be so big. I also want to etch a jl symbol into the plexi and put a neon under it.
and also does ANYONE happen to know the dimensions of ^^^^ his box?? this is the exact setup i need to do ):

In from the trunk. Even if you were to remove the rear seats and the diagonal metal bracing, you still really can't fit a larger box into the trunk versus through the back.

rkostolni box looks like a basic square sealed box. Should be very easy to ballpark dimensions from looking at his pics and measuring your trunk.

Most of these setups look really good.... it just makes me sad to see your subwoofer choices. You can do a lot better quality wise for the $$ on the subwoofer alone.

Let's keep in mind, sweetheart, that a lot of these pics are from 7-8 years ago.

And may I ask what you've got in the trunk?

alright well i really suck at measure sooooo i failed at my first attempt to build a box for the trunk. going to start my second attempt soon, but i don't want to make the same mistake. for this reason, for anyone that runs 12in subs in the BACK of the trunk, not the sides, what are the dimensions of your guys' box???? i need at least 1.375 cubic feet of space as well. any help is much appreciated.

(i think i am tape measure retarded :P)

1.3 total? Or per sub? Per sub I don't think is going to be possible without building the box inside the trunk. You won't be able to fit a box that size through the trunk opening. If that's a total air space figure, then just buy a pre-fabbed one man.

It's going to be 1.3 total cause I'm only fitting one sub. Im trying to stay away from getting a prefabed one >.> My issue right now is that the box doesn't sit the way I want it to. The dimensions I ran using my retarded tape measure skills was 13.5x24x20 using 3/4" thick mdf but I'm pretty sure that it won't even go all the way in forcing me to go like 13.5x24x18 or something like that. But even then, the box still doesn't sit how I want it to

Hahaha, dlum you make me laugh! [= Curious if anyone has attempted this. My idea to make a good box is to have a soundpass box facing the front of the car, and that little plastic piece you can remove from the rear seats that go into the back of the trunk. have the ported slots enter from in there, that way it uses the cab air to create the sound. To me that sounds good with two 12" rockford p2's with a 500-2db punch amp. Would love some opinions on it. If the cab air would be well worth its build to work. Thanks. [= And dlum, If you need help with measuring, I can gladly help you! [=
