Help please: remote bass ****
I own an AudioBahn A1300HCX amplifier. This amplifier has a remote bass **** that connects via a very long phone cable. It's not a regular phone cable, but it uses a smaller jack and (I believe) some of the wires inside are crossed.
Unfortunately for me, I didn't realize this cable was special until long after I left it in the car that I traded in for my 8.
Does anyone out there have an AudioBahn amp and this remote cable? I'm not trying to buy it from you (I've already ran the cable and I can crimp on the right ends). But what I DO need is for someone to take a multi-meter to both ends and tell me what wires are crossed.
I know there are only 4 wires in the cable, and therefore just a few combinations to try. But, there is enough voltage running through the cable to light an LED at the end and I'd rather not send that voltage through the pot.
If ANYONE could help me out on this, it would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!

Just to let everyone know, I broke down tonight and figured this out myself. There's actually quite a bit of voltage running through there (13.6v measured across two of the wires).
Anyway, it looks as though AudioBahn simply swapped the two outside wires; the inside wires still connect straight through.

It was fairly late before I got the pinouts figured out. I was trying to be careful not to damage the **** itself. I'm going to try and get to the splicing and soldering tonight, and probably to the mounting tomorrow night. I'll let ya know.
