Exclamation Help With Metra Kit and Navigation!!

Hey guys, I am looking to put a navigation system into my 2004 Titanium Grey RX8. Can someone tell me every single thing I need to install it. I need to know everything you need to buy except for the Metra Kit and the screen itself. Also, what screen do all of you think is the best option for this metra kit. Thanks for all your help!

Step 1. buy a Metra Kit
The next thing you need to figure out his how you're going to run your navigation. Some of the newer stereo units with flip out screen have Navi OR you could go with a carputer.
Depending on which route you want to go with, will determine the components you need to buy

umm, most double din radios have nav included nowadays, is this what you're talking about? Defintely the most vague and confusing start to a thread I've seen in a while

2) Pioneer AVIC-F90BT

Done and done.

considering I was asking whether or not you needed anything else except the metr kit and the screen I don't think it was very vague. But thanks for helping everybody else!

Well, I am not sure, but you will need to get it power somehow. There are plenty of people who have done this and could tell you if you need to run wires or anything, but I believe besides power, all the stereo equipment just plugs in.

Don't quote me on that though... you should do a carputer instead... Like I am

Pioneer... here is a e-smack upside the head. Noise due to circuit design, painfull to wait for the boot up, a general PITA to navigate. The Eclipse AVN6620 (or the new unit that is about to be released) or the Kenwood DNX 8120 (or the new unit that is about to be released) are both far superior options to what the Pioneer has to offer. Pioneer wins on pricepoint, granted, the Eclipse and Kenwood win hands down on performance.

Carputer = computer in car.....

Pioneer. Eclipse. Kenwood. I really don't give a rats ***.

Point being what you need to buy

1) Metra Kit
2) Double Din navi capable unit

What could have been answered by reading half the damn topics in this forum...
You want recommendations on DD units? Read the Metra thread and stand next to the other 600 people asking the same question...

end bickering.... and thread...

yes, "screen" is very descriptive, it's all so clear to me now!

All this could have been answered with some judicious searching anyway, good luck with all that.
