having trouble removing piece aroung the clock...

i need to get the peice around the clock off, the one just above the radio/center airconditioner vents...... i plan on getting four gaudes molded/ fiberglassed into the dash, but the shop workers cant get it off, without thinking they are goin to break it...
any suggestions.... should i start from the center console and work my way up?

also... i been reading about a NEO ION....... can someone explain to me what that is please?

you have to take the stock headunit out in order to access the mounting screws for the center dash console

Bottom up.....

You gots to work from the bottom up - it is not possible to just pry it out.

Remove-
shifter **** - unscrew
shifter surround - pull straight up
ash tray - two screws & electrical connectors
stereo unit - two screws (and a hidden bolt!) and pull out a bit
vents - just pull out
finally, top clock moulding, two screws then lift towards rear view mirror.

Have fun :D

Yeah, that hidden bolt is hard to get to. It's 10mm and tricky to get to.

Adrian-1, where did you get your gauge pod from? I've been waiting on the PTP one, but it's been like 6 months and nothing. Any input?
