I am working on installing mine, so far have modified the holes to fit 60 mm, and drilled the pilot holes for the screws (i have v 2). i am going to post a DIY when I am all finished, hopefully just a day or so more. Also wanted to pass along, the screws that hold this in place can be covered with a 50 cent screw cover (black) that can be purchased at home depot or Lowe's so it makes for a clean and neat install. so to sum it up, buy it! DIY will be up soon!

Read my quote, DEFI BF in this pod. Pics will be posted soon. But trust me, they are in the car 60 mm DEFI BF.

I wanna mount gauges like a 350. The gauge pods just seem so bulky.

Yes, Version 1 will only fit 52mm.
Now zoomzoom_8 has version 2 which has more lip on the diameter and he was able to dremel it to fit 60mm gauges. Version 1 does not have that much lip and I highly doubt 60mm will fit in version 1.

The PTP Motorsports unit looks much more integrated into the car (similar to the 350Z), as it replaces the whole middle panel, but it is $450.

Good call Adrian, I did not realize there was that much difference between ver. 1 and ver 2.

Update on ver1. I finally received the water temp gauge. I'm going to install the water temp and oil pressure first since they're easier. The EGT will be last, I need to drill into the downpipe.

Good job, Andrian. I like yours better than mine A little off topic, you are installing a EGT too, how are you going to thread the downpipe, is is thick enough to drill and tap? I figured I would take mine to midas and hve them drill it and weld a bolt for the sensor to screw into. let me know what your plans are.

I believe it could be tapped. I'll be taking it to some muffler shops and see what they think.

I took it to my local performance shop and they were against the idea of installing it after the turbo. I told them I didn't care if it was accurate since I wanted it post turbo, but that I just wanted to be able to see a increase in temp to signal a problem. They would ONLY install it in the exhaust manifold and that meant uninstalling the wastegate, turbo, oil lines, and exhaust manifold. I wasn't about to do that.

I got the water temp sensor in. The other 2 gauges are powered up but the sensors aren't connected yet.
Here's a few pics of what they look like at night.

Very nice Andrian, the more I see your pod, the more I wish it was mine :> About the egt, i talked with a guy that has been welding forever, does alot of high tech welding on boats and things here on the coast. He said that he could handle it. It would take drilling the hole, welding a nut to screw the pressure fitting in for the sensor and then we would be set. I FINALLY ORDERED THE TURBO, so I have a stcok cat coming (in case i have probs with the sr high flow) and i plan to take both to him and have it done hopefully in the next week or so. I will let you know how it comes out. BTW, ordered my oil filter sandwich from japanparts so I should be good to go with the oil pressure and temp as soon as it gets here. thanks for the help with that one andrian.
