Custom Leather Seats

I'd go to a shop to ask for pricing, but it's kind of hard to do from an army base in Kuwait

I was just wondering how much I would expect to pay for a custom leather interior? I'm planning on getting a Silver/Titanium '8, and have seen other people with matching 2-tone interiors - basically the factory 2 tone leather with the ext car color where the red is. It is very nice looking, and I just can't see myself settling for cloth interior or the more subdued leather interior packages.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys - were those installed at the Stealership or elsewhere?

I did do a search of the forums before posting, incase anyone is ready to tell me to do that - the one thread I came up with was getting old.

OH! Did those prices include installation or did you install yourselves?

Thx

$1200 is about the going rate for an installed kit at a decent shop that does interior work. If you're willing to do the work yourself, you can save a few hundred bucks, (probably about $700-800 perhaps a little less, I don't know the rates for the RX-8). I recommend leatherseats.com (if you do, ask for Bill Coon) which is a Mazda6Club sponsor and did the kit for my Mazda6s. Great product and the best customer service out there. The work isn't particularly difficult (although it could be different on the RX-8, I don't know the effort involved in removing the interior), just very time-consuming.

I took mine to the dealership--they then sent it to Texas Auto Trim which uses Katzkin leather. I went via the dealership because they offered an additional warranty.
