Dont just look at the color --look at the quality of the gauge guys. It's a pain when one goes bad. I totally under the boost guys not wanting mechanical gauges--but they do make a stainless steel line(sort of like the stanless steel brake lines) that almost guarantees no problems.

The night lights on the pro comps are MUCH better and they are only a few dollars more--well worth it. I use mechanical imo they give better readings. Make sure the kit has the appropiate adapters for all the fittings you have to order that separately. On either one i will give you a little hint. Just install the red lens cover on the interior light of the gauge--wire the gauge to the ash tray light(not the cigarette lighter) and then the gauges will have the dimming affect like the dash lights do. The red color matches the stock gauges prefectly.
I repeat the pro comp liquid filled auto gauge ones show the lights 3 x as well as the sport comps. Besides the liquid looks cool!
tell people that the center pod gets very hot in the sun and to use a sun shade.
one day i will get a center pod for my big ones!

All good input gang. Thanks!!! Keep the ideas and comments coming. I appreciate the encouragement and am more anxious than the rest of you combined to start production. Gotta get through the puddle lamp and rear rotary lamp group buy first.

gotta say man -- once the 2nd gen of turbo's come out and are readily available (looking at Mazsport scotts) this is the guage pod I want. excellent work and I hope to buy one from you in say... 6 months

i think you should make one compatable with the nav screen flip up so when youre not using the nav you can see the gauges and when you use the nav the gauges wont be visable...

Just a head's up for those looking into gauges: I took the plunge and bought a couple of the glowshift gauges I linked to earlier. They should be here mid-next week.

The pod looks kinda rough though, but it can be improved upon.

^^^Ooohhh. I thought about picking one of those up, too. I figured that it can't be that difficult to massage a Subaru center pod to our dash. When will you have the item?

Hey Derwankel,
Do you know if the Autometer Nexus gauges can be hooked into the vehicles lights so that you can dim or change the color of the gauges when you turn the lights on?

You know, I'd love to have oil temp and water temp... but what I really want is a g-meter. Does anyone make those in gauge form? I rode in my buddy's new vette and it had one. It was the most fun thing I've ever seen in a car!
