Front seat installation
I recently purchased some seats out of a Shinka and I'm planning on replacing my cloth seats with these ones. The back seats should be a fairly install but the fronts might be complicated due to the side air bags. I will also have to run power to the seats for the seat motor and heater. Has anyone done this or something similar before? I have a shop manual but I haven't decided weather I should do this myself or pay the dealer install the front seats.
Thanks

My shop manual did not mention any extra connections to remove the leather seats so hopefully they use the same connection but if anyone knows otherwise please let me know. I get the seats this weekend so I'll let you know how it goes when I get a chance to install.
Thanks

There are 2 plugs under each seat.....the airbag plugs...they are yellow...and the seat plug...white. I think they are the same on all cars. Not sure if the airbag harness will be there but the seat should be. I think the power is on the passenger side as well...from the RHD drivers seat

Finally got the seats installed last weekend. The rear seats took about 5 minutes but the front ones took longer because Fed Ex bent the rails and broke a couple of the power seat controls and a motor during shipping, but I fixed them and eventually got them installed. The seats were plug and play just as dannobre said. The driver's seat however had a different power plug than the passenger seat (more electrical prongs) so I guess they make the American connectors different than the British ones. Anyway if you have seats that weren't bent its less than an hour for the entire project.
Thanks for the help.
