sub box
i've seen some threads on here about what box they had for their subs and what sounded better and whatever, but i was wondering which is better, that 4080 box or that custom box you can get on ebay. and also if it makes a difference if the subs are facing towards the back...or facing eachother or up.

it really just depends on what kind of trunk your willing to devote to the task - people trying to conserve trunk go for the 4080 others go for the Zenclosures box (ebay) i went with the Qlogic box because of how i have my amps. Link
And the facing of the subs is really a preference thing - rear facing is the general "best way" to do it. although forward facing supposedly has less rattling and what not - its all about what you listen to and what you like. no real right and wrong way.

The 4080 box is okay if you are looking for a somewhat stock look, but look for someone else to make it. Paying $300 for a box that might not fit correctly coupled with getting the wrong side just is not worth it.
I would consider looking elsewhere, especially if you don't have the spare tire kit.

I have the z-enclosure box as well. The turnaround time was quick and the guy put carpet all around per my request. Mine houses a 12 jl audio sub. I had the hole offset to the right and mounted my amp to the left of it. you'll have to add velcro to the bottom to hold it down from sliding around.

i have that leather trunk bottom and for some reason already has velcro on it so i guess thats a good thing, i just got my 04 about a month and a half ago and by the pics it looks like my trunk is bigger than some i've seen, is there a difference or is it the pictures that make it seem that way?
