The NAV DVD unit is in the center console between the rear seats. You can even see the side of a seat in that picture.

Hey forum!

Have found this fix for sound of driver's door, and can confirm it works. Decided to do a detailed manual, since i can see some are struggling with it. Attaching PDF guide, as well as quick overview here:

Summary:
Between rear sits, under central panel find two white connectors for the nav system. In the smaller connector, locate yellow/green, blue/white, purple/white and red/black wires. Cut them off from the unused connector.
Solder together blue/white & red/black
Solder together purple/white&yellow/green

My car has right steering wheel, however trick should be the same for left side. If colors differ my guess is to use wires from the same locations, and ignore the color difference (under your own risk ofc)

I've not had chance over Christmas/New year to look into this further, mainly due to the cold weather - didn't fancy pulling the interior to bits in sub-zero temperatures.

Anyway, I've started having a look today and come across something very strange and frustrating.

I've located the 2 white connectors that went into the back of the original nav unit (see diagram 2) but J3-02 (the smaller of the 2 connectors) seems to have 4 crucial wires missing; see diagram 1.

I've worked out from the PDFs in the post above that all I should need to do is connect 1N and 1M to 1O and 1P respectively; see diagram 3. I'm assuming the connections from the audio unit to 1O and 1P are line-level and just mixed with the nav output then sent on to the amp in the boot? In theory, connecting these together will resume output to the drivers side speaker...

As you can see though, my problem is that I can't find any of these connections. Hopefully it's just me being thick and someone can help.

I've also found a 3rd connection which goes into a black box (see last image). Not sure if this has anything to do with things but though I'd post anyway to give the full picture...

3rd Connector?:
Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I actually tried what was suggested on a us spec car. IE connecting 1N to 1O and 1M to 1P via the second diagram and the drivers door started working instantly on my 04. It was red to yellow green and white to blue white all on the same connector.
